Yummilicious Cherry - Almond Fudge! So easy to make!!

This has got to be the best easiest recipe for holiday fudge ever!

I always have to send the hubby off with goodies for the office pot luck.  Considering he is the head kahuna, have to make him look good too.  haha  This recipe was based off a recipe by Carla on Allrecipes.  Although did not exactly follow it all the way:)

Recipe as follows.

-  One 14 ounce call of sweetened condensed milk.
-  One 12 ounce package of semisweet chocolate chips.
-  1/2 cup of slivered almonds.
-  One small container of candied cherries.
-  One teaspoon almond extract.
-  Halved candied cherries for garnish.

Now I am not sure if the almond extract makes a difference and at the cost of it, bet you would not miss it if you wanted to leave it out.

Pour the semisweet chocolate chips and condensed milk into a microwave safe bowl.  Microwave on high for about a minute.  Remove from the microwave and begin to stir with a spatula incorporating your chopped candied cherries and sliced almonds.

Pour immediately into a 8x8 or comparable pan lined with foil that has been sprayed with non stick spray.  Pat it down and place in the refrigerator until set/firm.  I believe two hours will do it but overnight is good also.

I pulled out the day needed it and put into individual wrappers and topped off with a half sliced candied cherry.  The recipe calls for incorporating 1/2 cup of candied cherries but I just love the flavor and put in a whole mini tub of them that you can find at the store, or even Dollar Tree.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
